Children ages 12 to 14 attend an advanced Montessori program, designed to meet the social, intellectual and physical needs of the developing adolescent.
The Middle School program includes an integrated program of five week thematic learning cycles, followed by an immersion week of related work and projects. Immersion projects take place in the community, at the land lab, or at an offsite learning center.
Middle School instructors hone the students' critical thinking skills through Socratic practice and logic techniques, and provide an environment in which a sense of personal and social responsibility may engender a positive work ethic and true love of learning.
