Deborah Bailey, Middle School Head
Teacher
Debi joined the CMSAA teaching staff in 2005. She has an incredible
background of teaching experience in both Montessori and traditional
classrooms. She completed her Montessori adolescent training at the
Cincinnati Montessori Secondary Teacher Education Program in July 2007.
Debi has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Eastern
Michigan University, as well as a K-8 Teaching Certification and a Math
Endorsement. She has worked as an elementary teacher, a teacher
consultant and a resource room teacher in the Ann Arbor public schools and as
a Montessori teacher at Oak Trails Montessori School.
Before commencing a teacher career she worked for several years
as a field and laboratory assistant in the science department at Eastern
Michigan. Debi is also well experienced in Balanced Literacy, Love
and Logic, and Hands-On Learning strategies and is a member of the
Michigan Reading Association.
Sister Rebecca Meirendorf, Middle School
Teacher
Sister Rebecca joins CMSAA from the Servants of God’s Love, a Catholic
order based in Ann Arbor whose members minister in the fields of health
care, education and the elderly. Rebecca recently completed her
Montessori adolescent training at the Cincinnati Montessori Secondary
Teacher Education Program. She also holds a Montessori certification
from Michigan Montessori Training Center at the Upper Elementary level.
Rebecca has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Fransican University
of Steubenville. In addition to her love of Montessori, Rebecca brings to
CMSAA a wealth of experience in service, missions, administration and hospice
work.
